暑假將是韓星來台舉辦簽唱會、演唱會的高峰，北市衛生局為防堵MERS，發文給488家旅館及360個旅遊公會會員，要求旅館業者在明顯處放置防疫單宣導，若旅客有發燒等疑似症狀，撥打1922由救護車協助送醫。
另，衛生局也要求演唱會主辦單位及主管機關，應做好韓國旅客、藝人的自主健康管理，衛生局主祕許朝程表示，一旦台灣出現個案且疫情有失控狀態，北市府不排除會介入，減少相關的集會活動舉辦。
許朝程說，民眾要預防傳染病，勤洗手、戴口罩、避免到大型聚會及公共場所，若公共場所提供「乾洗手」消菌液，進出時可多利用。
對於疑似感染患者，許朝程表示，根據傳染病防治法，旅客有接觸史，有症狀卻沒有通報仍趴趴走，即便事後非確診病例，最高可開罰30萬元。
北市疾病管制處長陳少卿說，目前掌握會有5、6個韓國團體在暑假來台表演，衛生局已發文給租借演唱會場地的主辦單位，在場地明顯處張貼韓文和中文版防疫海報，出入口應提供乾洗手和口罩，空調設備應提高換氣率。
陳少卿表示，民眾若有症狀，應到北市15家有防護分流的醫院就醫，不要到一般診所，若症狀不明顯在診所就醫，診所發現後會啟動通報機制，由救護車協助患者送醫，避免可能個案再感染他人。
